Abstract

The number of poor people in Kalimantan Selatan was 189.03 thousand people with a poverty rate of 4.54 percent.
The number of poor people in the urban areas was recorded at 68.70 thousand people with poverty rate of 3.54 percent and the number of poor people in rural areas was recorded 120.33 thousand people with poverty level of 5.40 percent.
Kalimantan Selatan is the province with the lowest poverty rate on the island of Borneo. The highest regional poverty rate of Kalimantan occurred in Kalimantan Barat Province of 7.78 percent.
The role of food commodities against the formation of poverty line of 70.80 percent.
Poverty Depth Index (P1) in South Kalimantan of 0.687 and Poverty Severity Index (P2) of 0.164.
